Casa Lunga used to be a farmstead... In 1990 it was bought by the present owners and restored.
What are now the garage and studio flat were once the living quarters. The structure was built towards the end of the nineteenth century with dry stone walls. Agricultural buildings at that time were not registered on the cadastral plan. But if you look at these photos, taken while the ruin was being restored in 1990, you can see how thick these walls are. These ensure that the rooms stay warm in winter and cool in the summer: perfect for comfort if you are holidaying here.
The garden was a vineyard. However, the present vines which grow here were planted twenty years ago: sadly, they are not from the ancient stocks.
